About Me

Hi! I'm

Lua Telgt

A Communication & Multimedia Design student at the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam. I combine my love for design and technology with curiosity for people, cultures, and ideas — a journey that recently took me on an exchange semester in Seoul, South Korea.

My focus lies in creating experiences that are both functional and meaningful, whether in digital spaces or through print. I enjoy exploring how design can connect people, tell stories, and inspire discovery.

About

My Life

I enjoy spending my free time with people and the world around me. Dinner with my friends, weekend trips away or going on a night out. At home you’ll catch me watching TV, especially British crime and drama series, Silent Witness and Death in Paradise being amongst my favourites.

Other things that drive me in my personal life have everything to do with music (which also inspired me to learn several languages), whether thats enjoying or discovering more, or dancing to it. As often as I can I try to be in the dance studio, solo or with friends.

How & Why I Design

How I Work

As an artist I enjoy connecting with the end user while working, after all, my work is to and for them. I want them to enjoy it and for them to feel special, making their world a little brighter. The way I do this is by ensuring I’m in my flow state, this allows me to be the most focussed and creative.

In my designs I like to use colour, shapes and iconography, yet this is not all I have. Over the years I’ve explored many different themes and design styles, yet my preference will always be what is now my own branding, visible on this portfolio.

Why I Design

What I Do

I am a dedicated worker who consistently strives for perfection in both my professional and academic life. My joy in learning continuously pushes me to improve my skills and knowledge. This shows in the diploma’s I’ve amassed over the years, some of which are: Cum Laude Havo Diploma, Cum Laude Propaedeutic Diploma, my C1 Cambridge Certificate and International academic achievement at Hanyang University, Seoul in B1 French, TOPIK 1-2 Korean Design and Forensic Anthropology.

As part of a team I work well together, and independently. My sociable and outgoing personality has helped me to dream big and think outside the box. This is where my most innovative and refreshing ideas are born. I am always up for a challenge, always willing to take a chance at doing the unusual or impossible, and always working to the best of my ability.

If this sounds like someone you could benefit from having on your team, I’d love to hear it, don’t hesitate to reach out!
